Chimaera door ajustment
Discussion
Can anyone confirm that I'm correct in thinking it is possible to move the offside door of my year 2000 Chimaera forward by loosening the 2 hinge bolts inside the car footwell that secure each of the hinges to the A pillar. My problem is that the face of the lock on the B post is very close to the catch on the door and when driving on a rough road the catch knocks against the lock. There are no shims between the door and the catch and there is no play in the hinges. Thanks in advance for any help, Paul.
The hinge points in the door are fixed so the only adjustment is in those hinge points on the body.
Has the car been painted since new? If so (and perhaps in any case) go round the hinge with a Stanley knife to cut the paint so It does not tear/peel when you try adjustment.
Fore/aft & up/down will just be releasing the fixings. In/out will need shims.

The picture on the TVR Parts Ltd website shows them as slotted. Part No. TVR U1030 See https://tvr-parts.com/tvr-parts/part-details/tvr-u...
