You may find that the previous owner raised the clutch pedal. Short people have great difficulty so TVR provided a nut and bolt adjustment on the pedal.

Pedals must of been adjusted for a vertically challenged previous owner as I am 6' 4'' and have no propblem with leg room

Agreed - 6 ft 1 myself and have no probs.

Ironically it is the driver of the shorter persuasion that tends to complain about legroom for the driver.

Def think yours has been adjusted - best test is to get down to your local dealer and sit in a few.

Failing that, then you have uncommonaly long legs and should consider reductive surgery - you know it makes sense.

bizarre. Peter Wheeler had all the cars in his era designed big enough so he could drive them and he was 8' 9". well, nearly.

I never had any trouble in my Chimaera at 6' 3" and all my height is in my legs, as I found out with the chims replacement. Have know many taller people than I am drive one with no complaints, in fact I would say that the Chimaera is one of the most spacious sports cars I have ever driven for tall people.

As a 6'5"er, I've not had any problems (okay, I don't have acres of room, but I have enough).

The pedals are adjustable and so I'm guessing the previous owner had them screwed out into the 'extended' position. It's very easy to rectify...

Suggest you have a look as to whether the seat has had spacers fitted under it to assist the shorter driver. Mine had. There was a double spacer under the front of the seat and a single one under the rear of the seat. Also the pedals were wound all the way forward, resulting in very little leg room (and head room). All was solved with the help of my reliable brother, when we removed one spacer from the front and rear of the seat However, in removing the 'rhomboidal' shaped front spacer we found that the seat retaining bolts no longer lined up with the holes in the floor. Bold brother drilled new ones (with me cringing in the background), set the seat in, wound the pedals back a bit and sealed up the old holes.

Just a note that we found that it was important to distance the clutch pedal correctly, as winding it too far back would have meant the left side of my foot rubbing and wearing on the carpet wall of the transmission tunnel.

I personally consider the Chimaera to have probably the greatest leg room of all the TVR models I have tried (drivers side only of course). I am 6'4" tall and have loads of leg room. My Chim also has the excellent Leven alloy pedals fitted and they are screwed out around 3 inches from the pedal. Perhaps I have a rare "long wheel base" Chim variant!

I'm 6'3" and can wear a helmet in my Chim with the roof on, just. OK, it 'clonks' on the underside if I go over a big bump, but I fit well enough. There's a piccie in my profile to show it!
