New Dizzy?

Hi, a friend has a problem with the distributor, investigation has found the rotor arm can turn 90 degrees, springing about 20 degrees in the clockwise direction, but fairly freely moving roughly 90 degrees in the anticlockwise direction. Once got it running and noticed the cap was moving. New dizzy?

Also, anyone have any comments on the TVR parts dizzy vs the Racetech dizzy?

May simply be the rotor shaft has lifted off the bob weights.
