Hi

My boot is not opening assuming it will be the solenoid. Searching forum isn't providing me answers for obvious reasons.

I have consulted the bible, but that hasn't helped.

Can someone please email how to manually open the boot please.

The bible isn't right for my car (1999 4L)

Now to find the solenoid

Just incase it helps, I had a similar problem a few years back. The fault for me was a loose connection in the wiring in the pasanger side B pillar.

It should be in a void quite close to the boot lock (I think on my last 2000 reg car it was on the left as you looked into the boot from behind?). You will have to virtually stand on your head in the boot to be able to see it, and pull away the carpet from the back panel to change it.

Thanks for comments. Yes you are correct it was on the left.

I found it and sorted the problem, looks like it was the connector. Checked solenoid which worked fine, sprayed contact cleaner and now seems to work fine.
