back ache

Anyone else suffer from this when driving the chim long distances. I know part of it is probably my height and I have already addressed this greatly by adjusting runners, seat height and pedals wound out. But I STILL ache after a moderate run out! I've tried cushions etc but that is just as bad, anyone on here have a solution! Any gadgets that will give instant relief!!!!!(no wise cracks)
especially as I am about to do a run to Scotland and I want to enjoy myself not make it a chore!

If you've already tried cushions and they have not really helped, what about stopping every 100 miles (or whatever you fancy) and having a 5 minute walk about?

At the risk of being lynched, might I suggest some exercise for the back muscles? Joking aside I have had back problems for ages and that is the only thing that worked was exercise (nowhere near the gym). BTW although I have had problems in other car the Chim has given me no probs even after a 400mile , could it be love?

Aah but how do you explain the fact that I am besotted with Rooster and therefore am willing to take the pain if there is no other solution, thats love!!!

Might it be that you're leaning slightly to the left because the door is so close?

Nope, not that, the pain is more in my hip! I think i'm gonna have to live with it! ain't parting with rooster!

Daft idea but...do you keep your wallet in rear right hand pocket....(No i don't want to pick pocket you)...but not doing this gave me relief...fnar fnar.

I also get some back pain, all is OK when driving but back exorcise works for me.

You could try the adjustable lumbar supports from the later seats.I suffer from back problems,and my latest griff has these,and it is better.There are also various seat change options,well documented on here.

Well, its almost certainly down to posture. All I can suggest is that you re-examine your driving position. Its a pity the Chim steering wheel doesn't adjust for reach.

I'll have you know my posture is perfect, I went to a navy school y'know, thats navy POD not navvy!!!!
