HELP - Can't open boot...BUT solenoid is working.

Midway thro fitting a mod wise external entry boot release and i shut the boot cos of rain, after checking solenoid was working. Put car back in garage and now, later, try to open boot to finish job and ... solenoid fires but boot remains shut. tried pulling (when pushing button but nada). Anyone help? Possibly done something to cable? Any help appreciated...before i rip the bloddy boot off....argggghhhhh. Sorry...& Thanks

Suggest you open the boot by the Free Masonic Chim owning way in and check your connections, sounds like something has moved.

I have done some stripping inside on drivers side but not sure what i should pull or push.....can you e mail me with simpleton instructions? Thanks

Shut the keys in the boot last week . Had to go home for spare set - so I'd really like to know too!

So, Darrel, I guess you got in eventually and sorted it?

Sounded like the cable was sliding through the solderless nipple each time you operated the boot switch? It happens. Just reposition and tighten the screw. Pushing on the boot (as opposed to pulling) whilst operating the button relieves the tension on the latch that the boot seal imparts, sometimes this can be enough to allow the latch to disengage.
