Maybe. The MOT doesn't stipulate that a car must have a main cat to pass. The requirement is that the car passes the emmissions test, which I would imagine is far harder to do sans cat. I know of at least one person that ran their S6 without cats and had no probs getting it through the MOT. Not sure about the RV8s though; I would imagine that it's much harder to do with these.
I guess the cats could be replaced for each MOT, although it would be a PITA...
I was considering totally decatting mine but as I understand it, although the car doesn't legally need the cat to be in place, there's not a hope in hell of a properly setup, originally catted, RV8 engined TVR passing the emissions test without one.
Also, the space where the cat would normally be is pretty big and I've read comments that suggest that it doesn't actually help that much performance wise. Maybe something to do with back pressure etc.

But the piece on eBay has no main cats... It's nowt to do with the pre's...
