Gear knob refurb

Had a go at refurbishing my gear knob , had damage probably from someone wearing a ring over time . Pretty pleased with the results 👍🏽

So what did you use to achieve a good finish?

So I used a drill and a 10mm bolt so I could use the drill to spin the knob around and get an even finish , light sandpaper to get the marks out then some wet , wet and dry medium grade to get the brushed finish back , 5 or so coats of lacquer and just like new
