adjusting valves

Hi all

Drive a Chimaera with 100'000km. Its time to adjust the valves. Has anybody a plan with valve play and so on that I can adjust them myself?

The std ones are all hydraulic, pre-load is set when installed.

If you have the standard hydraulic cam followers then they are self-adjusting. At that mileage there's a distinct chance that the cam is wearing out which can cause tapping noises that might make you think the followers need adjusting.

I'm assuming you mean the valve clearances.. No, "the tappets are hydraulically operated and valve clearance is automatically maintained without any adjustment being required"

You can convert to 'solid' if you so wish, most common replacement is cam + followers due to wear.
