Stormforce/ level.....which cover is best?
Discussion
Unfortunately the chimp is being evicted from the garage for a few months due to building work. This means it's going to live outside for the first time ever. Years ago I had a stormforce cover for a 390se I had which if I recall leaked a bit. Opinion appears to be similar for both leven and stormforce. I would like a full cover....any opinions or does anyone know of any second hand?
Thanks folks

Many will advise not using one, and there are a lot out there. I used a Halfords one for 3 months on a Cerbera and it wasn't good. Retained water for days.
I bought a Coverzone stormforce cover for the Chimaera in Dec 2017 and I'm still happy with it. It was under £100 (fortunately) from another supplier, full price is £140 plus or more depending on where you get it.

It has 2 underbody straps (believe me, ANY cover without them will blow off in the wind). They are detachable so they don't bang against your paint putting the cover on or off. It is quite a tight fit (size CCC257, generic for MX5, Z3, TVR etc), which I prefer because it doesn't touch the floor, and it will dry out in a few hours on a dry day without taking it off.
It DOES get damp underneath via condensation but the fabric is breathable. I only put it on when there is rain about, long term use of a cover has produced lacquer lift for some people but I've not had a problem. The whole car was painted in the summer of 2016 so perhaps the lacquer is nice and thick??
It is starting to fade slightly but that has been the only issue other than carefully cleaning off bird muck.
Edit: There's one on the bay of e at the moment.. Even used, it's up to £55..

I have previously used the Moltex outdoor covers from Hamilton:-

Used on both Lotus and Tuscan very good results no paint damage.
Pre cursor to using outdoor covers is to make sure the car is clean, polished and waxed. Putting a over on a dirty cover increases the risk of scratches.
You do get what you pay for, cheap covers are pretty rubbish with a very high risk of paint damage.
