my mate has an s2000 and is fed up with going out with me and my brother in law in our s2 `s and is seriously considering a chimera, so who can recomend which model/year etc, probably looking up to 20k, and would appreciate honest insight to any common problems, reliability etc.
Buy on condition, not age or mileage. Leave some of the budget (a couple of thou) in the bank for servicing and general mishaps, and mods.
Don't fall in love with the first one you see. Look around.
With that budget, pretty much any Chimaera (or Griff)is within reach...so I'd start looking at late 450's / 500's.
My 2000 450 was much better than my 1993 400 in terms of overall quality / fit and finish. Although it cost me much more to run thanks to a few engine problems!!!
