Chimaera ecu temperature sensor

Dear all, my 1995 chimaera is at my local old fashioned village garage having a water pump/gaskets and power steering hoses replaced after tracing the offending leaks......The parts have been ordered from race tech and are on their way. Would it make sense to order a replacement ecu temperature sensor and get the garage to fit during the putting back together? I have experienced not too bad shunting but sometimes it’s tricky to start the old girl when really cold. Your views please......Thanks, lee.
t to start when hot The ECU sender is a screw in item into the inlet manifold on the n/s. A doddle to change for anybody but easier to do with the plenum removed. The one for the gauge is much harder to access, low down at the front of the manifold.
You don't say how many miles it's done but my experiences with 2 x Chimaeras is that they are a lot easier to start after having the injectors professionally cleaned.

Sorry to clarify. When really cold/ maybe not used for a fortnight she will catch and fire. Sometimes only momentarily and die. It then takes a lot of key twisting and cursing to get her to start. Once started she needs a few minutes before you set off or will stall.
I was not aware of “shunting” until I read about it on PH. I thought the gas pedal felt a little “wooden” when poodling in traffic at 20 mph or so....
