Chims and Golf?

Our cars seem to take a fair bit of stick (especially form the hairy chest medallion men in the griff forum) for being a golfers car.
It set me thinking how many of us actually play golf? Myself I wouldn't know one end of a golf stick from the other, is it really just a myth that only golfers drive Chims? Or is it just jealousy that our cars are better than theirs?

The whole Golf / Chimaera thing was started by Scruff… and we're talking quite a few years ago now… never ceases to amuse me that 90% of the people on this forum who use the golfing thing have absolutely no idea where it came from...

I think it's fair to say that jealousy is an ugly thing.

Whenever a griff owner puffs out his chest on pH just smile and remember a chim will bring even the most attractive girl to her knees trembling with excitement whereas a griff will occasionally turn the head of an old bag lady looking for some spare change.

Just for the record,

You can fit 2 sets of clubs in the boot with drivers but no trolleys and still have a fair bit of room.

The origin of the 'golf' quote pre-dates Scruffy's comment - the original Chimaera brochure includes the quote:

Edited to add - not the original brochure, since its '98, and the pics have the front redesigned so you don't scream and swear as you try and get that f**ing grille to go back in.

I play golf and normally drive there in the Griff. Funnily enough I've never ever seen a Chimaera at a golf course!

nah, I'm a cricket fan! but we have seen lots of chims at a golf course, the mid Essex meet!!
