Upgrade / Replacement Brakes

I need to replace my brake disks and pads on all four corners. I was thinking of making it an upgrade, but at least trying to save some money on what TVR charges (£200+ per corner for parts).
I use my car daily, but intend to participate in occasional trackdays (2-3 a year).
Can anyone suggest what brake pads/disks etc I should investigate adding to my car? Also, an idea of cost and where to source them?

That's what I thought! TVR standard brakes apparently?!? I was hoping to get a better set-up at much less cost.
This is the first time I've dabbled with the brakes (learning as I go), so I want to upgrade within the confines of the existing car set-up (i.e. not bothered about out-size disks etc). Ideally, something that is a relatively straight swap for what I've got already (factory fitted).
My local performance car centre stocks a wide range of FORD (Cosworth/4x4) disks, as well as Red/Greenstuff pads etc.

Trinitycalls brakes were originally specked for our old Chim 500. They are an awesome piece of kit and do exactly what they say on the tin. We've subsequently driven the car and it stops in a big hurry. Wing him a mail as I'm sure he'd be delighted to talk about them.

Thanks for the tip! They look good and will cost 1/4 of what the factory disks/pads will cost. I'm guessing (from reviews on the net) that they are comparable in quality to other road/race sets available from the likes of Ferodo?
Did you get the grooved, drilled or combo disks?
Can you let me know what they were like to fit?

Hi Andy,
The brakes have received good reviews and were recommended to me by P/Tuning as being just as good as Mintex/Brembo etc. I went for the grooved only discs as there are too many stories about the drilled and combo ones cracking. A chance I'm not really willing to take.
As mentioned I'm hoping to fit them this Sunday providing a mechanic friend of mine is free to help as I don't have the worlds best tool kit. I'll let you know what they're like once done. Just got to hope I ordered the correct part numbers now, though I did check them direct with Black Diamond before I did so.

I also followed Tony's lead and have ordered the same stuff from Performance Tuning, it should arrive tomorrow and I will hopefully fit on Saturday.
I have also gone for braided hoses, from Tim Lamont at ACT, I thought the price of the hoses, disks and pads was do-able compared to some of the crazy quotes that i got when phoning around.
Sadly, I also want to improve the looks of the car (not with neon lights etc) but brakes are as noticeable as alloys. Going for any of the bespoke upgrades to named calipers was prohibitively expensive so, I will clean and paint the calipers efore returning them to the car. Once its done I'll put some pictures on and give you a low down on how it went.

What size discs are they then.. and I'm assuming those are 4 pot calipers..?
ummmm... err....they're red, big and shiny. Hopefully Steve_T or Mrs_T will be along to give the technical specification on the pots. Did I mention they're shiny?

The kit (from Godspeed) comprises 4 pot Brembo Calipers, pads, discs (plain/grooved/drilled as you decide), braided hoses and mounting brackets for £650. The discs are 280mm diameter, in order that the kit will fit under std 15" wheels with no clearence problems.
Having experienced these now they're bedded in, there is great feel and a serious amount of stopping power. David Batty fitted these for Nick, since Nick and I both use him for servicing it made sense for him to do so. I believe he's already taken a further order.
