Runs too cold and misfires
Discussion
Hi, running out of ideas, and could do with inspiration if anyone feels like a challenge.
So my Chimaera 4.0 (no cat) is running rough when on a run.
Initially on start up it misses a little but then after about 5 mins it is OK. Gets up to temp very slowly (like 15 mins or more) and them runs fine.
Take it out on the road and while temp is still hot runs fine, but temp drops down to 65 ish when speed picks up and starts misfire. If I plant the throttle it pulls like a train so no problem there.
New 82degree thermostat, temp sender unit, dizzy cap, leads, plugs, rotor arm.
Fans kick in when stationary at 82 plus degrees
Ideas anyone?

Never trust the TVR gauge, the slow to warm up issue may well be just be an under reading gauge and as such a complete Red Herring.
Your misfire issues are far more likely to be burnt HT leads or failing plug extenders, or anything else ignition TBH.
I would also fit a proper 88 degree thermostat, I've been running one for years and would never go back to a lower value thermostat.

Chuck the extenders in the bin!
Fit the HT leads directly to the plugs and use basalt socks to protect the HT lead plug ends.
