35DM8 dizzy in a Chimaera?!

Hi all,
um, i thought the 35DM8 distributor was altogether too early to be original fitment on a '98 Chim? My '88 390se had a 35DLM8, the DM's successor......
Do folks think this might be a retrofit, or perhaps the folks at Bristol Avenue found some old stock round the back???
