After looking at the 72mm upgrade to the plenum and seeing how much it was I have decided to go down the pre made unit road 75mm

The point of no return

And a bit of a clean up ready for the new flange to be claged on

This should be interesting for low speed air metering and throttle response more than out and out BHP.

Its not so much the AFM is a factor, but the accurate metering of low air flows at smaller throttle openings becomes much poorer as the size of the butterfly increases. I have no idea if this be an issue for you- hence the interest.

I asked the man before I started as I was looking at 90-95mm jobs and was advised not to go that big for the small throttle inputs getting a bit on off ish

Hopefully 75mm is on the money
But proof will be in the pudding
And it’s all on a spare plenum

That's why you have twin choke carbs.

Yes but an over large throttle will make small throttle openings an a progressive throttle a thing of the past frown think more On/Off switch although at the size Paul as opted for I think he will be fine wink
