It breaks my heart but I'm selling the Chim. I bought it last July and have had a wondeful 10,000 miles in it! Unfortunatly I'm now doing even more miles with work so I've bought an LPG Jeep to do the 20k or so I'll be doing a year....AAAAGGHH! If I had a garage I'd keep her for weekends but I'm in central Brighton and only entitled to one parking permit. I'm not prepared to park her miles away or pay the local Gestapo for all the tickets I'd get.

I've not been posting much lately as nothings gone wrong but I would like to thank everbody here and on the S forum for their expert and freindly assistance and advice.(Particular thanks are due to 'Podie'and Phillip Reygate).

When my boat comes in I'll almost certaily buy another or maybe even a Cerb or Tuscan as a weekender (and every other day the Sun shines for more than 10 seconds).

I've found TVR ownership to be a very positive experience and the public's appreciation of the Marque never ceased to amaze me from gentle folk to Chavs. I'll envy all of you out there when I see you roaring around while I'm pootling along in my 'cheap to run tank'.

If anyone knows of anyone after an early Chim mine's on the classifieds and can be seen at www.rhinomotorsport.co.uk . Phillip Reygate is selling it on my behalf as I've got nowhere to store it. I can honestly say that in the 10k miles I've done it's never let me down once (never leaked either and has been out in all weathers). It's had a recored rad and new alternator, servicing and been waxoyled.(Also massive history from prior to my ownership).

Anyway sorry for the ad. I wish you all well and hopefully I'll rejoin the fold sometime in the future!

Have you considered 'buying' a neighbour's bay?

I've thought about it but there are two or three car owners per bay here. I'd much prefer to plant some semtex below the Town Hall, although if I were caught it'd probably be a while till I get to drive a Tiv again!

I know that car, from the owner prior to you! An old guy who lives in Crowborough. Used to see him driving around in it, recognise the number plate!

Yes a real shame!

The previous owner spent a fortune on mods... s/steel sports exhaust, ACT inlet plenum and trumpets and a Mark Adams Tornado chip... to name but a few.

Sure does sound great!

Indeed Done the S, done the chim... I recon its cerb time for you mate (when you're next ready to buy that is)

I had a V8S not a chim Also the Rover V8 - the Cerb is entirely different! I love the interior of the cerb, looks good but you really do feel wrapped into the car, it seems to make the experience more intense (first time passengers all feel as if they are getting into a theme park ride From inside, the cerb is nice and quiet. From the outside, much louder than the rover I love the cerb, wouldnt exchange it for a brand new tuscan or saggaris, when you're in love with AJP nothing else compares Take one for a test drive, if you fall in love so much the better, you'll have something for your heart to come back to.
