This I know will sound stupid, the door opening knob can away in my hand have looked it appears to me it’s held in place by small screw is that right, also how do you get at it to screw it in me being stupid I know

That is correct. The knob is held on with a small grub screw on the under side.
If you force the gaiter down you can probably see it and get access to it.
You will need a small allen key, Can't remember the size but something like 2mm or 3mm.

Do you still have the grub screw because it just came loose or has it fallen out.
If it has fallen out you might be lucky and it is still in the area under the gaiter.

Put roof on car as was raining the other day. Leant on the button activated the central locking. Key fob doesn't work at the moment, Stuck in Aldi car park, locked out, with ice cream in the boot.....
Fortunately it was the surrey roof and I managed to get my arm in and pull the stays .....

I'm the other way round, fortunately. The centre lock button doesn't work, and I don't miss it to be honest!

Sorted what little devil only way to do it get Alan key bend it 45degrees get grab screw just catching then tighten
