Hi, I was just wondering if any PH Members have any of these going spare (that I could buy/source)? TVR Parts Ltd have e-mailed to advise me that they are currently out of stock. Thanks

^^^^^ how much! Robbing bd biggrin If they have those in stock I’ll be impressed.
I suppose because they fix and MOT them for customers they need to keep stuff like this just incase.
Fair play to em if they do.
It’s the little things.

Intrigued to know how the lights come apart.
In an ideal world, I want to polish the reflectors without removing the headlights from the car.
Can I just remove the exterior painted cowls, then the glasses, and work with the rest in situ?
Saves worrying about rusted adjusters and getting the lights aligned. They already are.

Interesting they use a different part number though, just hope they would fit okay.

Don't forget the location rubbers that go on the outer and inner rim of the Bowl.

I have been doing my reflectors and encountered some issues sourcing the correct parts as two of my adjusters were too corroded.

Bought a Kit from a TVR supplier but they did not come with the end 'tab' (so I made a couple out of some scrap), but the springs they supply are a slightly wider diameter and longer than the originals. It seems to get the reflector far enough back into the wing requires the adjusters to be wound in a fair way which caused the springs to bind up. Also the rubber surround they supply for the lens does not work at all and is far too thick and completely different to the original.

Got a couple of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Compression-Spring-Vari...

Diameter: 8mm
Wire diameter: 1mm
Length: 60mm
Material: Stainless Steel
Quantity: 2

Spring is a little stiffer than the original so will probably cut them down, or could try 0.5mm wire.

The bolts are just M4 so should be readily available I should think.

The little right angle bracket things are vw camper etc, available for pennies. There is another thread on here somewhere about using bay window camper reflectors. Got my pair for 22 quid each (hella) against 80 each for Porsche /Bosch.
