Hi All

Sorry for a pretty basic question....

Looking to have the clutch on my 450 changed next month as I've been told it's quite worn - not slipping but very high biting point on the pedal.

Not a gearbox/Clutch expert so will be sending it to Colin at TVRSSW to change. I know the mainseal needs changing as it's weeping a bit, but just wondered what other preventative work is worth doing while the mech is down there?

Any recommendations gratefully received!

J

I'd be doing the rear crucifix seals and the rear main oil seal whilst you're in there, save you a load of aggravation later on.

Parts probably 20-30 quid tops but worth it considering access is a nightmare

part looks like this but can no doubt be had cheaper from elsewhere

That is quite a hike in workload and cost for something that may not be leaking.
Far better to just mention it to the garage and ask them to check and advise.
