Screen Trim Rubber

Hope someone can help with this.

I want to fit a new top rubber to my screen but the moulding seems too stiff to fit properly at the screen corners.

Is this normal or are there some tips and trick that I need to know?

Don't really want to rip the old one off and not be able to sort so any help would be much appreciated.

The screen trims are a total PITA. I would leave it as is if its not causing any problems.

Sadly, thought that might be the case but no real option as the existing trim has seen better days and is splitting on the edge that overlaps the glass.

Thought it might be bad when Dom at Powers was not keen to tackle the job!

Think I will just have to go for it.
