Evening all, I suspect my exhaust is knocking the underside of my chim now and then. It’s used to happen occasionally when lifting off the accelerator (that’s what it sounds like anyway, could it be the cv joint?) the left pipe hangs slightly lower that the right one too. It’s happening a little more now. Before I buy a new rubber mount and hanger I just wanted to make sure that’s all it could be. Is there a easy way to check if it’s the cv joint perhaps?

That rear hanger has seen better days.
Also the three rubber mounts on the silencer tray are more likely your issue as oil from the engine and gearbox make them go soft and split.
Only way to know is to get it in the air and give it a good shake.

As Steve says, I'd be looking at the undertray mounts.

Order a set up and replace them, no point jacking up to inspect then jacking up again to replace.
