Front Brake Hose Grommet

Hi Folks,

Any idea where I can get a couple of front brake hose grommets? I can seem to find anything to suit.

Ps. Tvr parts don't have them and can't see anything on ebay

I had a similar problem 3 years ago finding one of these big grommets. By chance I found that my draper brake hose clamp used an identical grommet in the end loop of the clamp. Removing this doesn’t affect the functionality of the clamp. I can’t guarantee that the draper clamp still uses the same grommet and if it is the same it’ll be a few quid for a pennies grommet

Yep that’s the one. (I hope they’ve kept the same grommet as when I bought mine!)

Thanks for sharing your discovery & well done. I've got one of those brake tools and never thought to try its grommet when I had the hubs off.

Did you disconnect the pipe or cut the grommet to fit it around?


Do you know the diameter of the hole in the bracket?

Pushed the new grommet over the end of the hose.
The holes 17/18mm. I found it difficult to find a grommet of that size, but the £3.09 draper pipe clamp bush fitted perfectly.
