Hi All
I have just purchased back my old Cosmos Blue 1993 Chimaera (see in readers cars!) and is is being painted but the ordered paint matching the code on the body plate (VR011) seems to be wrong - the 2828B code is a lighter blue entirely than what is on the car:

Looking at the alternative paint list VR011 or 2868B comes up as Cobalt blue
VR011 Cobalt Blue -2002 - P422-2868B Porsche 38U

There is a different paint code on the alternative list for Cosmos blue but has the same Porsche code so will it be any different?
Colour Code Colour Name Year PPG Code ICI Ref Manufacturer Mfr Colour Code
R2685 Cosmos Blue -2002 - 9611B Porsche 38U

Does anyone have a Cosmos Blue chimaera with a different paint code?

Please help as my car is now in the paint booth and blocking it!

Many Thanks

The problem I think we have with our cars is that Porsche used 2 colbalt blues in the early 90's.37U was used between 1990 and 1993.The other colbalt blue,38U was used between 1992 and 1994.TVR may have used both and called them both TVR011.

Thanks gents this may help. Mark at the paint shop is getting the supplier in tomorrow with their paint camera and will use that to try and get a match, but this may well point us in the right direction.
