Hi All,
What tool should I get or use to get the top two gearbox to engine bolts. All the others have been extremely tight and there is little room to get any real purchase on a 9/19" spanner.

Thanks.

Are you removing the gearbox then? or the engine from the car ?

I am removing the engine as I want to replace the flywheel with a lightened item and re-do all the heat shielding.

Some are easier from underneath but you need several long extensions to be able to get the ratchet in a decent to use location.

I don't think you'll find those top two are too tight and access is OK once the trumpet base is off and easy if the manifold is off.

Remove the gearbox cotton reel mounts and lower the gearbox onto the metal plates tipping the whole affair down slightly.

You can then get a 9/16 socket on the two top bolts using four or five extensions to give your ratchet room to work behind the gearbox.

Easy Peasy.
