New management that is Trevor Duckworth, the organiser and head honcho for 'Straighliners' has managed to arrange a revival weekend on 3/4th August at the old York Raceway site and is officially renamed Melbourne Raceway (Melbourne being the nearest town, not the city down under!).

It must be pointed out that this is a meeting to show support and build for the future. Much effort has gone into making this work but for this first meeting we will only be running a single lane over the 1/8th mile.

I am very optimistic and excited that this could be the start of a complete revival and the return of proper drag racing in the North of the country we so desperately need. The plan is to put all profits back into the venue, sort the track suitable for 2 lanes and go from there in 2020.

It would be fantastic to see some TVRs turn up. Come see me at my van and have a brew or a beer. Camping will be available from Friday night at 6pm.

Good luck with that one Derek!

All we need is another venue down south now!

Didn’t Flatliners run a temporary event at North Weald? Would that be repeated?

Don't think North Weald will have much action unless there is something I don't know.
They do have regular events at Spitfire Raceway in Devon. I plan to visit sometime. Just an 8 hour trip for me
