Goodridge brake lines?? 4 chimp?

As you may have noticed i have been toying with new brake options for my car, well by some eery coincidence i went to drive my car this a.m, and lost all brake pressure, no warnings, nothing... luckily i was driving out of my garage lane and hadnt had time to get on the main road! phew!

Starting to worry, i checked the brake fluid level, this was low, on further inspection i noticed fluid was all over the NS wheel. I removed the wheel and on close inspection, expecting to find a split piston seal i noticed the flexi hose has a cut in it... now im fairly certain this wasnt a malicious act, merely a coincindence.
However i am now faced with the choice of what to do, as i was thinking of changing the disc rotors anyway, maybe i'll fit goodridge or similar stainless hoses?

Has anyone fitted these, are they TVR specific, or a Ford (replacement) sizing... are the unions that connect with the metal pipe and caliper universal...oooh so many questions. Finally how much do they cost.

Either way ive lost my ticket to drive this weekend, could have been worse i suppose

I've put Goodridge lines on both my Chimaeras, very pleased with them, improve the pedal feel no end.

They are TVR specific and look at paying around £40 for a set.

Speak to Rally Design on 01795 531871,I paid just £46.50 for mine, including delivery.

They are in Kent.

I have just put goodridge stainless steel brake hoses on yesterday, makes a lot of difference. glad I did too as one of the old hoses had a split in it

Did that include the correct unions, rears as well? direct replacement? if so will order tomorrow...

I got mine from Peninsular, TVR pt no. BHK001 (inventive numbering system?) £45 + VAT from stock delivered in 2 days.

I've just put them on my griff too - much better & well worth the cost.
Whilst you are at it, refill with DOT 5.1. Higher boiling point so less brake fade if you do a track day.
