Petrol Fumes Smell

Since the warmer weather, I have noticed that I get a petrol fumes smell. It is when she has been running and you stop and turn off. When you go back an re-start its quite wiffie. It seems to be coming from the pipe where the carbon can is next to the rad.

Quetion is how normal is this? what would you expect?

The cars running fine and I have no warning lights on. I Also checked for any leaks, all seems ok i.e no leaks.

I had a very similar problem recently. Petrol smell prominent on restarting a hot engine. It was a leaking injector pipe. For some odd reason not always visible.

Mine does this, the missus complains, i just tell her its normal... God they'll complain about anything

I will check again, but smell was down by the rad not round the plenum.

(I try not to take the wife out in mine!)
