Manifold exhaust gaskets.....

I want to change manifolds tomorrow - forget to order / buy gaskets!! Arrrgh!!

Can I get them at a local car parts place? Halfaaruds or Motorcrafts?

You could try a Land Rover Independent. There are plenty of them out there.

Ideally, take a manifold or an old gasket so that you can match them up and make sure they are big enough.

For mine, using ported heads I used the gaskets supplied by Powers as I believe they are larger than standard .

Come to think of it I probably have a set of TVR ones on the shelf!

Exactly! A little far - not sure what I am going to do. The local motorserv says that the part does not come up on their system (based on my reg).

Wondering what model etc I should ask for....?

I will take one of the manifold pipes with me to make sure its a fit (hole wise) when I go to get them......

Quick update - holes too small on those at Motorserv.

Drove over tor RaceDirect (1hr and a bit away) - arrived 30 mins before closing! Got the gaskets and few more things (you know, as you do......)

Forgotten what a great company RaceDirect is - very friendly in person (just as good as over the phone) - quality stuff for the Tivv.

Not many of these companies about anymore - really surprised (and dismayed) how many have gone by the wayside......sad really.

Clive Y piece and pre-cat-less manifolds are now off. Standard exhaust is back on...
