Last night I fully disassembled and documented the fuse box.

I’ve got a spreadsheet with every pin label showing where each and every connection goes. There are 98 pieces of brass plated steel in there.

Drop me a message if you’d like the pictures I took or the spreadsheet ‘map’.

Message sent.
What year and model is your car?
The fuse box has always been a bit of a mystery to me so any help will be most appreciated.

OK, I shall send it when I get a second - certainly today. I just wanna tidy a couple of bits up first and make it easy to navigate.

Car is a '98 400. Of course there will be some variations between cars, but it'll get you 99% there. The markings on the fuse box itself are sorta compliant with DIN 72552, but not completely...….

it IS complex in there.

Always one in every crowd..!

Yep, that is also bloody useful. I guess you also pulled the fusebox apart?

Does anyone know how similar that will be to a 92 precat Griff?

I know it is easy to say that the Griff & Chim are mechanically the same car, but did the electrics change much over 6 years? Lots of other things did.

so far as the fuse box goes, the VAG part number will be the critical factor. The one I pulled apart is 443941 822 B. Number is on the back of the unit.

The photos are in here. Might want to give it perhaps an hour after the posted time of this message as I'm still uploading them.

I'll pop some comments on them in due course. to be fair though, the spreadsheet is by far the most useful resource. I'll upload that to the folder too.

There is a list on line somewhere. I used that to draw a diagram from.

A word of warning.
This fusebox is the Audi 443 941 822 B

This is not the normal 'box used in most Chim/Griff which is marked MO264.

I'm not saying the Audi 'box was not used by TVR it's just that I have not seen one.
There are differences but with a little work they can be used in place of MO264.

The plot thickens... the fuse box we have is I’m pretty sure original, so there is yet another model type variable!

Evening all… does anyone have a working link to the Mo264 drawing please and also can you actually get the thing apart without destroying it?

Thanks. 🙂
