Gotta sell, but how much?

Due to... well not having enough money and trying to move house... I need to part with her but I'm after a little advice.

1 - Being a bit short on cash is it worth trying to sell the car before doing the work needed for less money and explaining what needs doing?

2 - Is my idea of a price about right?

It's an N Reg Chim, 23k on Clock, BR Green, No Power Steering, Interior Good, Chrome Gear / Door Knob & Hand brake and silver MP3 player. Has 2 inch tear where the hood folds which is patched, needs new discs and the surround for the front left headlamp (see previous post! ) is still missing because DV could send me one but wouldn't say what colour!*

I was thinking about 10k without work doing or 11k if I can find some cash to do it?

I really appreciate your opinions.

Mike, I'm in the market and, to be honest, any defects at all would see me walk-away looking for a better example.

It's not so much the cost in time or money, but if one or two small, but obvious items have been ignored, then what big problems might also have been scrimped on?

But then, if the cash isn't available...

Well, if you're moving house and you've had people around to view, did you leave the garden a weed-strewn wasteland? Did you have dirty undergarments lying around the bathroom floor? Did you have a huge patch of damp on a wall somewhere?

I bet not. Get the simple stuff fixed, you'll find it much easier to sell.
