Accumate is about £40, and if it aint sunny you don't get a charge!

i tried a solar charger on my boat and yup yesterday my two huge batterys were dead it is literally the only thing connected so i must assume it actually drained the battery

Got a solar charger. It added about 5 mins to the inevitable 10 day dead battery. Useless bit of kit.
Accumate - £40 or less. 5 mins to install (less if you use the croc clips).
Easy choice.

..and they're sh!te ..bought mine ages ago, pretty much a total waste of time.
