Need some help from you great guys. My tps reads what it should, but the wrong way round. It reads 4.82 closed and almost 0 when fully open. This is the wrong way round. I would presume the sensor is working, as it changes, but how can it get reversed?

Can anyone help with a solution please.

best regards and keep up with the great work. Thanks.

I think you swap the wires around? There's a similar issue with the V6 in the S series cars if you get the "wrong" tps.

Correct one is 70408A as pictured. If you wire colours or any measurements just ask.

Matter of interest does the spring on the TPS go the correct way- ie it shuts when the throttle is shut. There are some around that are sprung differently. If the TPS is backwards, Im sure the ECU would be in fault condition, as it knows you can high a high airflow from the AFM, with a shut throttle, so it will throw a fault code. In terms of wrong way around, you have 5 v on one side and ground on the other, so if by mistake you measure the wiper to 5v instead of ground it will give you reverse readings.

Voltage measured between the red wire (+ve on the meter TPS wiper ) and green (-ve on the meter , ground)

Throttle closed .085 - .545 volts

Throttle wide open 4.2- 4.9 volts
