Reverse Gear

I have a crunchy reverse gear on my 4.5 1997 Chim.
If the reversing lever is pushed hard to the back and right the crunching is less.
Should i be worried? Any ideas?

You have probably got a T5 box so try selecting fifth gear first and then drop it into reverse. Should slip in easier.(oooh err missus)

That's an they ALL do that sir,

Third or fifth briefly before reverse, a feature of the T5 box....
Even made it into Steve Heaths Griff/Chim bible.

NOT a problem / or anything wrong.

I've had 3 Chim's and yes they all do that. Annoying and sometimes embarassing. The 5 forward gears are much more fun
