Wiper motor access, new still Chimaera

Hello all,

I have a 2000 Chimaera 500 and the wipper motor stopped working. But since the motor isn't accessible from the engine compartment, I can't benefit from any instructions found (Steve Heath's book or Pistonheads).
Does anybody know how to access the motor and its electronics and where is the fuse, relay for the motor? I might as well have displaced one element or the other when changing the battery.

The later cars have the motor above the steering column. Dash and clocks have to come out and you can lower the column to get to it IIRC.

Fuses are behind the battery and I think the relay may be one of the ones in the dash top.
