throttle cutting out - no idle

It started with no idle speed - then came the low end flat spot and throttle cutting out under load. I cleaned the stepper motor and all was hunky dory for 2 weeks. Then the loss of idle speed returned (stalling at every junction and traffic lights stop) followed by the throttle cutting out a couple of days later. I tried to clean out the stepper motor again, but no luck this time, the problem is still there. My petrol cap is always loose so no vaccuum problem there. Any other ideas? Thanks. Marcus

1) Throttle potentiometer?

2) Air flow meter?

3) Connectors to the above or ECU?

Try checking the throttle pot. The track resistance should be about 5000 ohms and the wiper voltage at idle should be between .33 and .36 volts. Checked mine a few weeks ago and the track resistance was 6500 ohms. I chucked in a new one and now the car runs a lot better.
