Erm, the do NOT look like TVR spiders. Not even close. I wonder what else has been done to it? Different 
paint though. I hope the guys who did it knew what they were doing with painting fibreglass.

The factory upgrade is 16" Spiders and works out nearer £1.7k parts and another £600 if you need someone to build it. TVR will not substetute 18s for 16s because it is the over-stock of 16s that TVR use to justify this offer.

Rating of 200 with 100% feedback is pretty good tho.
This is an R plate ('97) car which in all repsects appears to be a facelift model. How come its got the rear end of a pre-facelift car i.e: fiesta rear lights and flush mounted - rear lit number plate?
It looks like a hybrid, or were there in fact some interim cars which were like this from the factory ?????

Me thinks this is a facelift car which has had a rear end shunt and someone's grafted on the rear panel from a pre-fcelift example, no-doubt in complete ignorance.
The rest of the car is post facelift, dash, front, , door openers etc. But I just noticed the boot lid has got exposed hinges too so earlier type, Could it be the whole rear half of the body is from a different car (given that its not just the rear panel and boot lid but also the rear deck panel behind the hood as well) cut and shut!!
This would also explain the elaborate respray!
Maybe was "damaged repairable"?
Caution required I'd say.

There are cars about on P and R plates (mainly P) with a facelift front and "early" looking rear, the numberplate change didn't happen at exactly the same time as the facelift. I have one of thse cars for starters, so don't start a conspiracy on cut and shuts please !

I apologise profusely if that's the case, I certainly did'nt want to sully the good reputation of any the cars. You will note that in my initial post I did pose the question:

Since no-one had lept up and said yes there were (until now!) I allowed myself to get carried away on my own conspiracy theory (aided and abetted by others M'lud). THe reason I had a look at this thread this morning was in fact to see if there was any more info coming through as you must admit it does look a bit odd, unless you know the finer points of the production run.
