Hi all ...

I was having a general clean up in the engine bay and spotted what looks like a un-connected sensor on the top of the engine close to the plenum:

Any ideas what it is or was used for?

Thanks

Chris

This more recent thread may be of interest. That hole is used for a different sensor which should make your temp gauge read correctly.

Unless the OP has rovergauge he will not be aware that his temp gauge is not reading correctly so even more reason for him to read that thread and perhaps carry out the modification.

Yes, I know some do read correctly but I've seen far too many that don't. So much so that we record the mis reading on our service sheet.
