Who to use in Berkshire?
Discussion
Hi peeps,
I've got a 4.0L Chim sitting under a cover on my parents driveway at present and it's not been on the road since late 2017/early 2018.
My own house has no garage, so previously the car had been sat with a hood cover, but on it's last MOT it was picked up that the wishbones would need replacing due to rust (the rain water pops in through those lovely bonnet vents straight onto the upper 'bones!)
I'd like to get the car back on the road for this coming summer, but don't have the time or space to work on it. As such I need a good local garage (nearer Reading the better) who can do the work required.
Used to use Calvin @ Wilton Morgan but he's since moved on to better things.
Engine is solid, so hopefully just wishbones and a service required.
If not, I might end up selling her as she just isn't getting the use any more.
Cheers

My first choice for a car like that would be Stag Service Station in Chilton Foliat (right by Hungerford). Good set of guys, I get them to do my MOT on my track car every year (I'd say they're a classic/track friendly place
). A bit nearer to Reading is Station Tyres in Thatcham. They do good work and I get them to do work on my daily when it needs it and I don't have the time to do it myself. And they're more than happy to fit parts supplied by customers, which not every garage will do nowadays.

Apparently there's an ex-army bloke Windsor way looking to start a business.
Not sure about his TVR credentials, but his granny speaks highly of him....or at least, she used to.....
