Hi,
One my plug extenders is stuck on the spark plug. It will turn and I can wiggle it a little but will not come off. I've tried a little heat but no good. It's on #5 cylinder so difficult to get a good grip on it. They are the original good quality extenders so I really don't want to break it. Any suggestions welcome.

thanks,

Get some stout nylon picture cord and make up a lasso. Fit it around extender at the point that it bends and pull.

Worked for me. Good luck.

Push it back onto the plug, remove the plug and extension, remove extension from the plug and either add a (very very) small amount of lube or modify the rubber retaining ring a bit so it has a bit less 'grab' on the plug and try again.

Good luck.

Mail me if you do break it. I have a few original ones in good condition and can send you one.

Thanks all, it's off. A combination of pushing and pulling with a chord worked.

Presumably as he now has one lead off, it will be V7th.
If a 4 litre that's V minor 7th, 5 litre is V major 7th.

Either way, back to a perfect 8th once any issues fixed!

well done, job fixed.

Only leaves me trying to work out how one would remove the spark plug with the extender still fitted as suggested earlier.

Tend to use the F chord rather a lot on cars! With a bar on the first fret!
C Chord is another.
