For the sake of sanity and a few bob, I'd buy a new one...

My horn is intermetintent(however you spell it). I have cleaned slip ring, checked fuse checked and all connections but still it only works some times at certain positions. Any one have any suggestions.

Do you mean a new slip ring. I do fancy some Dukes Of Hazard style tones though.

I had this, drove me mad for weeks. If you look at the steering column mounting bolts, just under the dash, you should find a crimped earth connector that earths the steering column. The joint was dodgy on mine.

Check the earth connection to the steering column.A crimped lug on to one of the steering column fixing bolts.
