Chimaera oil pressure sender
Discussion
I know there's lots of alternatives around but I thought I'd share what's worked for me for past 1000 miles - no leaks and sensible readings. No I haven't checked it against a calibrated mechanical oil pressure gauge but it is miles better than what originally came with my car. I checked the resistance was ~240 Ohms before fitting and the gauge reads zero with the ignition on and a sensible 30 psi on a cold start.

The part details are:
Oil pressure sender, 0-100 psi, Datcon 240-33 ohm, w/20 psi alarm, blade type
Part number: SW-100-20
It can be found on the usual auction site from the US where the 0-100 psi units are more common. A bit of a pain for delivery costs but still around half the price of similar units from parts suppliers. The sender fitted easily as a like for like replacement.

I have not - guessing OP has black gauges? I have silver bezel’d magnolia Caerbont gauges.

Finally got around to hooking up the low pressure warning contact to a lamp that fits into the empty space in my tacho. My tacho is the older version with the empty red warning rectangle. Works nicely but a bit of a faff running a wire to the pressure sender. I went along the dash, through and out where the wiper motor wiring goes through the firewall, alongside the air intake tubing as there was a conduit there for my alarm wiring, into the front area where the air filter is, across the car and then out along the chassis rail to the sender. At least it is neat and out of site.
