After sorn my 500 I decided to use my lockdown to get her ready for the summer. Switching on the ignition did not produce the normal chatter.
Steve Heath's bible tells me to check the fuse and determine if there is a relay fault. Before I dislocate my back can somebody please confirm that the correct fuse to check is the 10A 9 from the LHS and the relay is the RFLK30. Any further help / direction would be really appreciated.

The fuel pump relay is usually found dangling near the battery.
Someone else may be able to confirm but on diagrams I’ve seen fuses 12 and 13 are both responsible for the fuel pump circuit. (From left)

Fuses 2, 12, 13 come into play here.

Much appreciated belle 427 there is no way I would have located it from the wiring diagram. With your photo I was able to locate straight away.

Start with making sure battery is fully charged. Should be 12.6v minimum

Thanks to Steve_D, Belle427 and blaze_ away, finally got her started today. Wasn't the fuel pump relay but the main relay. It's been a learning experience and I think I know a lot more about Chimaera electrics.

But as always it's the bits you don't know that will get you.

True but I got a great deal of personal satisfaction by getting the car started with the help of PMs and not having to resort to get it transported to garage and getting them to sort it out.smile

You can eliminate the “is it the fuse? Owww, my back” line of thinking by fitting glow when they blow fuses, less than a tenner off EBay for a set of 5 each from 10 to 30 amps, one head first trip to the footwell, and you will always know if that’s the problem.
I don’t have even 1% of Steve D’s experience, but in mine it usually isn’t the fuse.......So head first trip saved
