I know that this topic has been done to death, but as a self-confessed 'mechanical idiot' (who does still manage to run TVR's without any major grief) I want to replace the standard five spoke wheels (15" up front and 16" rears) with 16" aftermarket alloys all round.
First question: What is the correct bolt pattern/offset (whatever that is) requirements, and what tyre sizes could I fit to avoid any probs? 225 front & 245 rear?
Second: Can I go for the same size tyres front and back? 225 or 245??
Finally: If I am selling the original wheels (with SO2 Tyres on 5mm tread left) as they are immaculate, what is a sensible price for the set?

I have 17inch khans on mine with low profile tyres, (see my profile) I bought the original wheels with nearly new tyres on for £250. I thought that was a bargain as I have seen them on E-Bay and Pistonheads for £450-£500. Trev.

Your car looks excellent on those rims! What tyre sizes are you running and were the wheels just a standard 4 bolt pattern? If so there seems to be a lot of choice out there for 16 or 17" wheels!! That sounds a lot simpler than some of the other threads that I have read!
