Just in process of bleeding the coolant system, after changing hoses and the second time of running the car warm, noticed the radiator bleed bolt leaking very slight.

Bolt is tight, but do you need to seal it with anything??

Would have thought there should be a copper washer on there. Cannot tell from your picture if there is or not.

I should be able to remember because earlier this year I had the rad' out for repair on the Griff'. But apart from it being a PITA on the slanted Griff' rad' to get at the bleeder, I can't recall, it's an age thing.

However since then I bought one of these to fit one of the days. We tried it in a rad' down at Central and with some PTFE thought it would make bleeding the Griff' rad' a lot easier.

Landrover cylinder and radiator drain tap.

Are you talking about the bleed 'bolt' on the right hand (viewed from driver's seat) top of the rad? If so, from memory, it should have a fibre washer (mine is/was orange/red)- too late to go into the garage now to check wink

There was no washer or copper washer under bolt. It is the one on top right of radiator.

Hi, as has been mentioned, you will need a fibre washer.
They tend to disintegrate regularly with age.
