1st service of ownership, where to go!?

The time has come for me to get my first 6k service done, i'm looking around but theres sooo many places to choose from. I'm due to go back up to cheshire soon and seen SFR in stockport - reasonably priced at £300 + vat? Or anyone else nearer the SW London area that can be recommended?

Sorry to slightly hijack this post but I'm in a similar position ie first service nearly due as a Chim owner. Can anyone recommend somewhere in the NWish - SFR for example? I'd go to Blackpool but the cost.....

SFR has done all mine for the past 2.5 years. Shane is excellent and does the fixed price servicing. I can recommend him without any probs.

The factory are not as expensive as you may think though should you wish to use them.

Blackpool isn't as expensive as you may expect. I had mine serviced there last time and it was £100 quid cheeper than what i was getting quoted from a number of the local dealers!

Take a nice run to Crawley and speak to Paul at Austec.
They have looked after mine and always very helpfull & efficient.

TVR are not doing servicing any more.

Shane at SFR worked at the factory for Dad - and Dad told me to go to Shane with my Chim.

Mine was serviced by David Batty today - tremendous job - fitted a boot opening kit and also converted exhaust to straight through, the sound is just awesome. Also sorted out all the little niggles, tidied up the hood and waxoyled the underside. Couldn't recommend more.

Also what was the cost of the waxoiling?

But sadly no longer available - I believe the factory have recently stopped doing servicing and/or rebuilds to concentrate on new car production

Recently back from holiday, only just seen your question. Not received the bill from David yet - I'd better give him a call in case he's sent it and thinks I'm avoiding him! As a consequence, can't tell you what it'll cost for that but do know that he includes it as part of the service. You can contact him on 01483 811995. It's a 130 mile round trip for me to go to David but my Tiv will not be going anywhere else!
