Hi all

just about to collect a new chim, been over 20 years without so excited!

With so many options available is there a group consensus on internal cleaners best to use? I am looking to bring to life the carpets, leather, wood and plastics.

many thanks

I normally use Autoglym interior shampoo on the carpets and usually give the seats a wipe over with it too.
I don't think leather seats need too much fussing over but I've read good things about Dr leather wipes.

All depends on condition to start with ? And everyone will have there own personal preference on products

I’d say mine was in fair condition for age having had a new fascia dashboard but I wet shampoo’d my carpets with wet vacuum (but in the end replaced front floor carpets with new ones from cloverdale)

Cleaned the seats many times with proper leather cleaner and conditioner and used carbon collective leather cleaner with leather brush and also used Dodo supernatural leather cleaner again in the end I decided to dye them and used Gliptone Scuffmaster Dabbed on then hair dryer in between coats and they have came up great so......

Does it need a deep clean ? Or carpets replacing or seats re-dyed ? Or just a general clean ?

Pic of my seat top with marks and creases and even rust from bottom of headrest bracket that would not clean out after spending £££ on dedicated products so in the end dyed them with proper recommended product the difference is amazing cost £25 and did with sponge and hair dryer !

Those "magic sponges" work well cleaning leather with ingrained dirt. Cheap bog standard skin cream can be used on leather if you want to keep the cost down.

Been to several TVR garages where one of the guys was using dilute G-101 from Autosmart (they stock a whole range of valeting products).

Used with a nail brush on grubby Chim' bolsters and seen the transformation. It does really lift ingrained grime.
I now have a 5L container in my garage! Also great for cleaning drips and spills on domestic carpets.
