Hi Can anyone link me to the article on the euro car parts part number for the chimera rear calipers .I think their Sierra cosworth ? Cheers james

If you're buying replacements outright (no exchange) don't bin your old ones, can I have them please?


They are a bit more of a fiddle than front calipers but I'd like to have a go at overhauling a pair, would be good to try with a spare pair rather than the ones off my car incase anything goes wrong! .....

Do remember there are 2 types of calipers for our cars early pre 96 solid disc 253mm model is one and post 96 vented rear 273mm the other , these calipers have a wider claw , fitted to various Sierra and Grananda variants, donor cars ..... solid disc any Sierra fitted with ABS (inc Cosworth 2WD models) & Granada ...where as vented type only fitted to Granny 2.9i and Cosworth and Sierra Cosworth 4x4 and Escort Cosworth 4x4 IIRC

Thanks for the information sadly no core to exchange so trying to get the best price . Racetech are £310 + vat each !!!

James many of the after-market outlets want calipers back for core but they dont have to be the same model/type I have discussed this in the past and been giving the thumbs up from said motor factor

here you go a lot cheaper than racetech at £ 83.00 each but still another £36.00 per caliper surcharge as you have non to exchange.

Bargain if you have solid discs? says they are brand new, not reconditioned! ...... rear caliper left

For those of us with the larger vented discs most of the old links are out of stock on the left hand side or silly prices.

The parts you want are these (£140 delivered and £30 back if you send back the old ones) Ford granada MK3 with vented specified or the Escort Cosworth 4X4 rears, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185563303727

The main thing you are looking for is the 20mm disc width described not the 11m of the smaller solid discs.

And the OEM's part numbers should anyone need them when this link is dead.
