Hi all,

About to pick up a Japanese import Chim (mint condition). I was wondering if there's any companies that produce magnolia gauge faces? I want to retain the original speedometer, but I'd like to stick an MPH fascia on it. I imagine the novelty of being kmh only will wear off pretty quickly! So far I've only seen entire speedometer units which are quite pricey

TIA! :-)

I imagine Speedy Cables can do it but 'speedy' they are not.

Is there a way to take the unit apart, I'd quite like to change mine but gave up after 10 minutes of poking at it with a screwdriver.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if they were by law made to be tamper-proof, as the odometer is in there as well.

Hi boys...

You don't state which manufacturer the gauges are...

But you do state magnolia dials...

Which suggests... https://www.smiths-instruments.co.uk/tvr

Try the contact email address and see if they can convert, they advised me that the gauges come apart from the front and a special machine is used to "crimp" up the instruments...

I think you're spot on with Caerbont - spoke earlier with HHC who suggested they could send the gauge off to them for calibration and conversion - at the cost of a 6 week wait time and a small fee - might be one for when it's put away for the winter...

Cheers! :-)
